Certified copies thru rti

I want to get all proceedings for some case in a city civil court of Panvel, mumbai.

Court officials say that they can not provide xerox copies submitted by parties and  can only provide those which have been marked as Exhibits by judges. What is the procedure to get attested copies of such xerox from courts.

Can I file RTI to get whole procedings? What is procedure to file RTI to get copies and where to file?

Please help. Thanks in Advance.

Kindly draw the attention of PIO to Sec.2 h of RTI Act  or during first appeal to FAA:

Sub section (ii) taking notes, extracts or certified copies of documents or records.

Court exhibits can be sought as per HC procedure as Certified copies after paying prescribed fees as per Court procedure.

For RTI,  you have to see Rules and regulations of HC applicable to Courts.  Generally AO was designated as ASPIO but they continue to provide and deny information in AP, though SPIO is At High Court for all Courts.

You may read the displayed notice under RTI Act in Administrative office of Court and file application to that concerned ASPIO.   It is his duty to submit to SPIO.  Whether SPIO provide  information  or not is different, but citizen has a right to get the information as defined under RTI Act, and there are further two stages of First appeal and second appeal to advance arguments, even PIO denies to give them.

In normal procedure you cannot obtain certified copies for Xerox documents.  Only marked documents will be given as certified copies.  But you can try to get under RTI Act. Meet A.O. of the concerned court and enquire with him and ask him the procedure how to get certified copies of xerox documents.

First of all you have not stated that how you are related to this case?, if you are not a party to the suit, but an interested party, you may file a third party affidavit and engage an advocate to get the certified copies of all the documents pertaining to the case, consult a local advocate and proceed in that direction or try RTI route.
