Assocham Presents: Post budget seminar

 

The Union Budget for 2015-16 to be presented on 28 February 2015 by the Finance Minister will be the first full Budget of the present government. There is widespread expectation that this will contain several tax proposals which will have significant impact. Finance Minister may also announce major tax reforms and policy initiatives of the Government which may have far reaching implications. In order to bring greater awareness about the new tax proposals and policy initiatives in the Union Budget 2015-16 and to provide clarifications across the table to all stakeholders, ASSOCHAM is organizing a Post Budget Seminar as per the following schedule:

Shri Shaktikanta Das, Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance has kindly agreed to be the Chief Guest at Delhi Seminar. Smt Anita Kapur, Chairperson, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has also confirmed her availability to be the Guest of Honour at Delhi. 
 

We have requested Shri Kaushal Srivastava, Chairman, Central Board of Excise & Customs (CBEC) to address the participants at both the cities. Shri V S Krishanan, Chief Commissioner Central Excise & Service Tax, Mumbai Zone I & Shri R C Mishra, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Mumbai have been requested to share his important views on the Union Budget at Mumbai.

 

Post Budget seminar will discuss the following changes proposed in the Budget:

 

a. Changes in the corporate and personal income tax

b. Policy initiatives having significant impact on trade, industry and Indian economy

c. Tax reform initiative including the road map for implementation of GST

 

The seminar will be addressed by senior officials from government and professional tax experts. The discussion on each topic will be led by eminent speakers in the respective areas which will followed by floor participation. You will find the participation at the seminar quite informative.
