Purchased a flat located on the fourth floor of a building in South Delhi in 2006. However the person that sold me the flat had registered it in the name of third floor. All purchasers before him also get the flat registered under the "Third Floor". However the GPA of the flat between the original owner of the Plot and the Builder reflected that the building contains in total of four floors.
Now since my flat is located on fourth floor but I got it registered under Third Floor; I am unable to pay the property tax. Is it legal to have a flat on fourth floor but get it registered as a Third Floor Flat? Wont MCD Argue that how can two people have their properties registered on Third Floor? Is there any workaround to get it registered for Property Tax. PS: The building was constructed in 1998 but not a single owner of Fourth Floor paid the Property Tax till date.
