Regarding "purpose" written on non judicial stamp paper

Hi,

I would like to know the meaning of "purpose" written on the back of stamp paper [non judicial].

Specifically, what all purposes could a stamp paper which says "Agreement" be used. Can it be used for deed of dissolution of partnership? For example, purposes like partnership deed, I've seen it requires specific partnership deed be written as purpose while buying the stamp paper.

Also are there any specifics regarding whose name the non judicial paper must be bought - in the name of partnership firm OR name of partnership firm and/or continuing partner and/or retiring partner?

Would help if you could direct me to sections/articles of the said act while quoting.

Thanks.

See Chapter VIII of the Stamp act for details.
