enmass resignations

ours is coop housing society comprising of 272 members. Based on elections conducted by Dy Registrar's office in June 2017, the office bearers committee members were elected and performed till June 2019 while there tenure is up to June 2022, recently out of 12 members 9 members of two office bearers ie secretary and treasurer has resigned. Now the strength after resignation is only 3 out of 12 earlier. now only chairman and 2 committee members are remaining after resignation by others.

I as a resigned secretary would like to know various options open to chairman as further course of action by him in such a scenario.
can we call for special general body meeting to dissolve the entire committee and write to registrar for fresh elections. request your kind advice.

Report the developments to Registrar in the form of a petition, with signatures of all the office bearers that resigned and request him to order Chairman for conducting of AGM as early as possible for reelecting the body. Let Registrar take the action, as he is having such powers.

The query suggests deeper issues? What is the real issue? Moreover, as the past Secretary you ought to be in the know of Laws and By-laws.

such typical situations being not prescribed in bye laws your advice was sought.
