Registration of document

I have received a Document from Kerala, which has the seal of registration from the Sub-Registrar's office, and a noting by the Sub-Registrar that the Document is impounded and sent to the District Registrar's office under section 387 of some Act. (presumably a State Legislation).  The noting is not in legible handwriting. Can some lawyer from Kerala guide me regarding this :-

1.  Under what Act may this section 387 lie?

2.  What the provision may be about?  and

3.  What may be the grounds under which such impounding has been done?

Shall appreciate this.  Thanks.

B.M.

Hi Colleagues,

I am from Kerala but now practicing in Abu Dhabi as Legal Consultant. It would be helpful and useful to keep in touch with professionals wherever they are. No doubt it will update the latest status of the proceedings and changes in the laws. Wish you all success.
