Age relaxation for obc candidates in government job

In Assam, Teacher's Eligibilty Test advertisement Age bar for OBC candidates was 42 years with 5 years age relaxation for them .So many OBC candidates who are above 38 years (which is max. age for General Category candidates) cleared the exam. Now Govt has made advertisement that OBC candidates below 38 years are only eligible for job.

with these facts can successful candidates have any legal remedy as they are not fit for other Govt job due to their age?Aged candidates are too frustrated and they are unemplyed yet brilliant students.

the govt rules and relaxations create such problems for even the good students who lose to secure a job though being qualified, but due to age factors and these tests being conducted after years and years make the overall situation bad for them..

legal remedy maybe a petition to relax age for such students could be done, or to uphold the recruitment process itself .

You have two different issues.

1st is that related to adv. of Teacher Eligibility test (Eligibility test)

and 2nd is with regard to adv. of job (recruitment Process)

Its seems that recruitment rules provides for lesser age  but eligibility exam provides for larger age limit.

Accordingly, there is need to challenge the vires of order providing validity of age limit  of Teacher eligibiilty test over and above as provided in recruitment rules. Its administrative mistake which needs to be rectified to avoid such situation.
