Dear Folks,
One of my friend and his parents are facing trial in 498A and 304B case since 2013. The prosecution has been very slow in the trial and the case has been dragged till now.
The current status is all prosecution witnesses have been examined in chief and cross. The remaining part is 313 statements, defense witness, final arguments and judgement.
Ideally how long will it take from 313 statement till judgement in a case like this?
The defense lawyer is promising a timeline of around 6 months for completion of trial. Is there any way to legally expedite this process without going to high court? Many thanks in advance for your prompt responses.
