maintenance recovery

hi..
my frnd not paid maintenance to his wife and child.. so opposite advocate sent him 1momth jail..

after one month jail case will close? if not what is complete process..?

see.. if he is working then.. tel. him to pay atlest interim maintenance... k and then uyou can go for high court for review petition. k. and explain that unable to pay... if you dnt pay now then will. keep in jail.. only ans then they don't close the case.. until the payment done or any settlement done.
