Course certificate- beauty parlour

my wife had started a beauty parlour with panchayath registration 6 months before that time a student approached us for training there because of wife's teaching experience .we offered only training certificate of our parlour because of not an institution plus course certificate from an outside institution through exam and paid Rs.40000/- including practical as agreed but now the force from somebody else she asking for course certificate of our beauty parlour and the receipt for the payment .Also we came to know that otherwise they are planning to move legally ,we have not made any agreement or signed any papers regarding that that is the mistake we had done .please advice can we give a course certificate as a beauty parlour or any legal complications if they suit file
