Changes in FIR ?

Hi last year I lost/misplaced all my marksheet's,passport while traveling in metro. I had made an Online FIR, but I did not have the passport number at the time,So it was not mentioned in the FIR. The passport seva Kendra at ghaziabad is not processing my application because of this. My question is can the FIR be amended to add missing information or is there any other way to solve this problem?
