Consumer complaint against Indian Railway

In my above posting the sentence "The Railway is very much the STATE and they are entitle to make and enforce rules and norms at their whims and fancies.", may kindly be read as "The Railway is very much the STATE and they are not entitled to make and enforce rules and norms at their whims and fancies."

The error is regretted.

 

Some experts have given a good suggestion to how to handle the situation.

Though agitated over the issue, in my opinion, any follow up on this mater through consumer court or otherwise may stretch the issues without an end for it.

Instead you may approach Railways for refund explaining the circumstances  and if yor request is not entertained you may plan to approach the Railway tribunal for this where you will certainly get some relief.
