Stridhan

Hi,

I wish to know about Stridhan guidelines by the Honarable Supreme Court. Below are my other questions.

1. Is it necessary to return the stridhan articles in the police station post FIR? If yes, then can I get a copy of the rule?

2. What to do if the police is pressurizing to return 50% of the articles and threating to take a legal means to do so? Should you compromise or ask them to move the issue to the court?

3. Should you compromise knowing that you have evidences that can prove your innocence as the law is now changing?

We are trying to move this to the court by not agreeing to compromise with the girl and have on several occasions requested to the police to impress upon the complainant to collect all her articles from our residence but rather than replying to our letters and email they are trying to implicate us by asking us to bring articles that have no value by saying that this will help us in the court as they would mention in the chargesheet that we have returned half of the items. We have been pushing the police to file the chargesheet since we are aware that the complainant will have to prove and produce bills which has not produced at the station.

Can someone please address my questions with facts?

Return of stridhan is complicated point even a small mistake can make you in big trouble it is adviceable to hire an efficient lawyer for the same as it cannot be explained accurately on a open form.

The problem is that all lawyers have something different to say and no one knows the guidelines. Hence it becomes difficult. I am looking for advice from a specialist who can help and guide me accurately
