Hi,
Could anyone pl. tell me who exactly is a First Class Magistrate officer? I need to get one affidavit duly sworn before but i am confused which office should i approach - DM, SDM or someone else???
What exactly is the procedure to obtain the affidavit?

DM or SDM are executive magistrates and their functions differ from Judicial magistrates. In the format for affidavit if it is mentioned that the same has to be attested by JMFC, you may approach a magistrate court in your jurisdiction for the purpose.

Hello Sir,
In the format they have just mentioned affidavit duly sworn before "First Class magistrate". So is it SDM/DM/JMFC??
