Delay in filing caveat, if appeal has been filed. will it be of no use?

If appeal has been filed then there is no need of filing Caveat. Otherwise also it will not have any legal implication on the merits of the case.  If you are observing/watching the case then better appear on the first date itself.

As such, no limitation applies in filing Caveat. Since appeal has already been filed so no purpose would be served in filing caveat.

nothing left to add, there is no purpose now, but it may help you in future if filed another case or petition, appeal or revision by your proposed respondent

No use to file caveat. You can appear before appellat court directly without notice.
