Settlement under section ipc 420/406

Dear Experts, Please guide me if someone has an charge under IPC 420/406 of an minimal amount of 1 lac, and if complainant is asking for money return before chargesheet filled in such case what accused has to do can he go to pay the said amount to them before chargesheet.

You can move an application for plea bargaining. Offence under 406 and 420 are compuntable with permission of Court. So, move an application take consent from opposite party/complainant and finish this case.

In such case the offence is not compoundable. Any payment outside court will not serve any purpose. Go for settlement and get the FIR quashed and apy the amount in court only after recording of settlement. Sidharth 9811776422
