Ownership of property after death of father

Hi everyone,

My father purchased a flat about 18years ago, where we have been living since then. We are two brothers no sister. Our father recently died.Mother also passed away few years back. I want to know regarding owenership of the flat now. Are we, as children, inherited the flat automatically or we need to get some kind of document or certificate that says this flat is now belongs to us? If we want to sale the flat in future what documents will we need? Regarding Municipality taxes like water etc, were on my father's name, what kind of document will I need, to transfer those to my/brothe'r name?

Sorry If I asked too many quetions. Any feedback would be great help.

Thanks in advance

Obyain death certificate and Legal heir certificate/affidavit.

Obtain forms/formats to transfer the Flat in case of inheritance from authority under whose jurisdiction the Flat falls e.g: MC........................and complate the fomalities.

The authority shall transfer the Flat in joint name of both of you.

Therafter you can change the names in other records e.g. water, electricity bills etc.
