Change of name in policy

Hello,

I had taken an insurance policy while i was in a separation period from my husband 4 yrs back. While filling up the form i had mentioned that i am married. Now when i am divorced, can i change my name in the insurance policy and do i have to also mention about my marital status clearly.

Yes you can by submitting the prescribed form that you can obtain from company.

It shall be appropriate to show the current marital status and for that matter all information in the policy should be true and correct. You can change the nomination also.
