Obc caste in one state does not fall under obc in other stat

If a Girl belonging to OBC caste in one state marries a Boy who is OBC in another state, what will be status of girl after marriage in case her caste does not fall under OBC in the state where she lives after marriage??

IN case she has never got issued a caste certificate before marriage can she get caste certificate after marriage showing herself as OBC by adopting caste of husband as her own caste is non OBC in the present State???

1. No. The guiding principle is that no person who was not OBC by birth will be deemed to be a member of a OBC merely because he or she had married a person belonging to a OBC.

2. The list of OBC is State/UT specific. As such a member of OBC is eligible for benefits in his state of origin only. A member of OBC Community, who migrates to other State/UT is not entitled to get OBC benefits, from the state of migration.

3. To get OBC certificate, she has to apply to the designated authority, i.e., Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where she before marriage used to reside permanently. The Designated Authority will issue the certificate after verification of the claim of her.

caste status doe snot change after maraige.

 

Both are OBC.
