Sir,
In the case of the death of the Karta of a HUF, who among the surviving coparceners will succeed him as the Karta? Will it be the deceased Karta's eldest surviving younger brother, or will it be the eldest surviving son of the deceased Karta? Please advice.

After the death of the karta, the senior most male member will be the karta of the HUF. If the karta's surviving younger brother is elder than his own eldest son (which will be so in most cases) then, he will be the karta.
