respected Mambers,

would you please let me know that while taking a house on rent, who will bear the rent agreement registration charges in delhi.

 generally it is based on convenience of the parties. For residential purposes, landlords prefer tenants for registration charges

Generaaly, it is as per the mutual understanding between the parties. Otherwise it is to be paid equally by both the parties i.e. landlord and the tenant.

Thanks for your reply. But I read somwhere that registration of agreement is done by the landlord as per law.

I agree with you, It is resposibility of the Landlord to get it registered,  But general practise prevailing among the people is that it is shared equally by land lord and the tenant.
