Advice

if i am the nominee in fd, ppf ac, and residential house[in a co-operative soc.], can  i transfer the funds in my name and the house in my name? there is no will and we are 4 persons in the inheritance line [including me].

1. NO, without securing equal interest of related / interested parties you cannot eat alone all its fruits!
2. Nominee means trusty of such assets of deceased interstate person till all such interested party(s) cometh to the scene to claim or relinquish h/er equal shares in accordance with Laws.

Thank You! is the PPF amount also liable to all? is'nt it  that it cannot be attached to any litigation?

1. Yes all banking and para banking instruments are also included apart from what specifics you ask, such as;

- Mutual Funds
- Shares / debentures
- Saving Bank A/C / Current A/C
- Outstanding Loans
- LIC Policy(s)
- All movable and all immovable assets
- All antiquities he had (such as any antique collections / paintings / memorable etc.)

2. Everything that the deceased person left behind shall go under Succession Laws PERIOD
