Hi, can someone tell me the following, if i have agreed to a mutual concent with my wife, can she claim for the wedding expences she incurred from her side?

Hi Shashi,

 

Please understand that in mutual consent divorce everything is flexible, whatever you decide to would be allowed by the court. Legally speaking she is not entitled to the marriage expenses, and is entitled to only her ISTRIDHAN or maintenance as the case may be.

She cannot claim the wedding expenses but can claim alimony and her stridhan.

It is for both to agree mutually. If you do not agree she can not claim marriage expenses.

Yes, streedhan is her. she can demand/claim for that.
