Filing ws

At the time of filing WS by respondent -

1) Is the respondent asked any questions by the judge or he is just expected to file his WS ?

2) Is the petitioner allowed to be present in the court at that time ?

No dialogue after filing of WS - normally after such filing petitioner seeks leave to file replication. On the next date - court records admissions and denials and examines party for the purpose of elucidating matters in controversy - which helps it in framing of issues.

1) Judge does not ask any questions when respondent files ws; 2) Yes, the petitioner is allowed if he wants so, but its his passive appearance

It is assumed that vthe query relates to a civil suit. Answers:

1.No.

2. In open court, anybody can be present, unless the access is restricted by order of the court, (which is extremely rare )
