Sunday, January 22, 2012

Hon. Maharajji,

Namostu,

We had come for your blessings and guidance as our daughters marriage went in to a problem. We had spent a lot on marriage to as is a bad custom in Jains and marwaris.

It would be nice to motivate people who come at times of joy, events, openings, vaastu, B’day, new born etc to contribute to good project like yours but must refuse any contributions on person who is already under stress, expanses, has to spend on court, on advocate, on remarriage and morally broken.

Pl. find our humble contribution and charan sparsh.

Abhagi Jain beti ki  maa ( suffering due to dowry seeking groom and family but calling them selves Jain)

NB : Hope Jain sadhus will stop talking of small things like onion and warn against harassing brides, fraud in marriages, ignoring poor jains by ilite, neglecting old parents/parents in laws etc etc. These r greater sins then eating pyaj. You must also specify that if hurting for small reason is sinful then how much bad karma will be earned if there is a cheating, violence greed in a  marriage.

I regret delay in sending payment inpite of several reminders.

u r right.

we indians are a bunch of hypocrites.

we brag in the whole world that we are the most spiritual nation of buddha, krishna, and mahavira.

yet we treat marriage as a business transaction and torture or kill brides for money.

Yes, I agree with Mr. Shonee, it is not a right forum for this type of grudges. It is there in every religion of the world. Not limited to India. Every person has diffrent perspective about all the events happening around us. Nothing wrong with Buddha, Krishna & Mahaveera. They are the greatest. If you have some grudges then you should have courage to say no to such customs & do not succumb to the pressure. But then you have to live in this world. So, find a balance and do not pick up a fight. If you do not like it, ignore it. Religion gives strength to us to deal with odd situations.

Regards
