Divorce in uk

Hello sirs/madam,

 

I did registered marrige in 2002 in India and social marriage (just to show the world) in 2006 and i have been living in UK for last 4.5 yrs my wife i are seperated since July 2010 and she has headed back to India living in unknown location.I would like to know if i can file divorice in UK or not? if i have to file a divorce in India then on what ground level i can file it and what will be the quickest way to get the divorice.

No, divorce can not be filed as yet on grounds of desertion, it reqires minimum 2 years of desretion.

 

The only ground available is cruelty as of now.

 

However would suggest that you go for discussion and MCD if reconciliation is not possible.

You may, but if she doesnot contest it, or agree for giving assent, the same would not be enforeable in India.
