consumer rights in business deal

can a individual file a compensation suit in consumer forum ,if he purchased a machine to do business and machine not working properly and giving a huge loss after investing so much money in machine and related works.

Ok, if I don't get any benifit from machine &setup and suffering daily loss from the day of installation of the machine, how can I recover my loss from legal point?
