So take proper precautions by informing to the bank to stop payment (if payment is not already done) as you might have lost/misplaced that cheque No..  But all these steps only if you have not given blank cheque in favour of a lender as security or repayment and other documents.  The lender may take remedial action under Sec.138 and depending on facts and documents  court decides the issue.
