Most companies in India like Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, Dell terminate employees due to poor performance. Most of them are told over a phone or meeting that they will have to leave the company the same day. Is there any lawyers or law firms which will support terminated employees in such companies?
In the case of termination, we cannot go by the Indian law. The Indian law will give 6 weeks of pay. My expectation is to get one year of severance package or at least six months of pay. Can a law firm help employees with such service? If so, what should the employees do from his / her side to ensure that he wins the case?
