Writing on the printed portion of stamp paper by mistake

I have prepare a rent agreement on 50/- stamp paper.  By mistake the matter of first page got printed/typed on printed (above) portion of the Stamp paper and the writing portion remained blank.  The matter was printed again on the writing portion of the stamp paper.  Will the agreement be valid on such a stamp paper when the matter printed on the printed portion of the stamp paper is cancelled or struck off and the matter printed on the writing portion of the stamp paper is used, or I should purchase another fresh stamp paper for preparing the agreement Please guide.  Thanks in advance.

Since it is only Rs.50 stamp paper, why can not you purchase new one and prepare the agreement on it instead of taking risk about the validity?

No, You have to purchase another Stamp Paper and needs to print from the below line of the stamp paper. Printing like this will not be considered valid.

About old 50rs. Stamp Paper, you can apply to refund that Stamp Paper in the concerned department by giving the application stating the reason of the stamp paper. The Department will deduct 10% and refund the amount.
