Need to know the procedure and suggestion regarding police investigation, i have filed a case U/S 420 IPC and now the case is under the investigation, as per the notice issued by the investigation officer i have submitted all the evident documents and produced the wittnesses in front of the officer and the police has recorded there statements,
now after recording the statements of the all the wittnesses, should they sign it or not ? when i questioned the officer he said when io has signed the statement copy there is no need of wittness sign ! so please let me know the procedure as the case is in the final stage for charge sheet. can wittness voluntarly write the statement sign and give it to the police officer ? under any crpc sections for this ?
