Withdraw 498a

Dear Advocates,

What is the process to withdraw 498a when it is packaged with DP3/4. Case is in Andhra.

How long will the whole thing take?

Thanks!

Withdrawal only a days job....Get a lawyer to prepare petition and get it withdrawn from court

The case went too far. It is chargesheeted long ago and it might reach trial soon.

I heard that in Andhra 498a is compoundable but when packaged with dp3/4 it becomes difficult !

Please explain the exact process.

file a petition in court if you both have decided either to go for mcd or to live together..get the help of a lawyer

The defacto complainant cannot withdraw the case, it has to be done by PP under section 321 crpc or the concerned complainant has to turn hostile during trial.

In such instance, go for quashing of the said case.
