Will

Brief:

Husband has mentioned in his will that
"I, hereby appoint my brother as the sole Executor of this Will"

and husband had given all his movable and immovable property in the name of nephew.

Question: What is the role and responsibility of the executor as per the law?

The role of Executor is to distribute the property of the will to the beneficiary mentioned in the will.  (check up whether probate is necessary in your city).  If probate is compulsory in your city, then the executor has get the will probated before the court.

I agree and endorse the views of advocate Ravinder on the subject matter, nothing more to add.
