Widower vs Widows

Class I legal heirs include Widows of Predeceased Son. But where is the Widowers of Predeceased Daughter. Is there a gender bias here? Are the rights of Widows vs Widowers vastly different in terms of property inheritance from in-laws. Has anyone ever challenged this portion of the Hindu Sucession Act. Please post your thoughts.
