I have a flat in Bangalore and society is collecting maintenance charges and in that a part of the amount is deducted as corpus fund every month. As I have leased the flat to the tenant and he was paying the maintenance as per the lease agreement. Now tenant is asking me to pay the corpus fund component he paid as a part of maintenance. Looks like society is collecting corpus since 2011 and the amount is coming close to 30000/- now.
My question is who need to pay this amount ? Should I reimburse this amount to tenant now ? Or tenant need to pay this as a part of maintenance ?
