Want to know the meaning of daily proceedings

Sir, I want to know the meaning of daily proceedings. My lawyer told me that in next month judge will read a petition an will give the judgement on the same day. But in internet, their is written that the day is for daily proceeding. I am so confused. Will judge give his judgement on that date?? Please answer...
