Want to join govt. job but dragged into criminality

Hi all, please help !! I was preparing for govt. job since last 2 years but unfortunately, have been accused into a criminal case.

1-will i be able to apply for a govt. job if pass through a sentence/ imprisonment?

@ querist imprisonment for more than 48 hours will lead to termination of any govt. job ,if you get it. However applying is no problem and merely being an accused also

will not create any problem.
