Use of succession certificate

My Fathers Grandfather "Hanumant" & his Wife had only two Daughters ( No Son) so this couple had a only two successors.

1) Vithabai

2) Rukmini

Vithabai Died at the age of her 20 and she had a only one successor of age only 6 month( He is my father). unfortunately my father remained illiterate and could not understand the property legal matters so Hanumant's second daughter (& Her husband)  acquired all Ancestral property  of Hanumant without Partition Suit .

At Present my Fathers age is 65 . Can I Apply for my fathers Succession Certificate and claim for Partition Suite for Hanumant's Ancestral Property( Half of the total Ancestral property) ?
