Usage of currency symbols ($, euro) in logo for trademark

I wish to apply for trademark registration of company name. If the name image / lable includes a currency symbol for example $ along with other english letters, will it violate trademark guideline. In other words what if a currency symbol (instead of a letter) is included in the name for trademark registration as in "LOCA$E". Will trademark office object?

Dear JM, A trademark is a word, symbol or design, or a combination of these, used to distinguish the goods or services of one person or organization from those of others in the marketplace. Once it is registered with trademark, usually there will be a disclaimer that you will not get any exclusive right to use $. However, you can use this as a combination for which trademark applied.
