Urgent related to rented house

We have a rented house in South mumbai. The house is under paghdi system. The building itself is 100 years old. We have repaired the house many times. The house is in the name of my Great Grandfather who died then it came to my grandfather then he also died and now there is my grandmother. But the name is still of my great grandfather in the rent receipt. We asked the landlord to transfer the name to that of my grandmother and we also have written proof that we asked him to do so. My father is an adopted child and he has the adoption certificate. After my grandmothers death can the landlord remove my family from the house? We have been living here for. more than 80 years.
