Unregistered partnership firm in andhra pradesh

I had signed a Joint development Agreement with an unregistered partnership firm that had an arbitration clause.  The unregistered developer violated the terms of the JDA and I filed for cancellation for just cause.

This unregistered partnership firm has filed for Arbitration.  As per the laws of AP, no unregistered firm can file any legal suit.  After we challenged him to prove that the firm is a registered one, 2 months after his filing the suit, he went and registered the firm, and is till seeking arbitration.  Our contention is that there is nothing to arbitrate anyways, as there is no claim he has made that we have not agreed upon.

QUESTION:  As per Supreme Court rulings, an unregistered partnership firm cant seek any legal redress.  Does post event registration make his suit valid?  Thanks, in advance!
