University forcing students to buy prospectus

Sir,

Thapar University, Patiala will admit students to B. Tech program based on the AIEEE 2011.

The result of the above test will be declared on or before 07/06/2011.

Some instituions admit the students based on a centralised counselling. However, some institutions follow the criteria that the student should buy their form.

In order to get admission to Thapar University, students have to buy their form costing Rs. 1500 and deposit it by 23/05/2011.

Kindly guide me whether a PIL can be filed in this matter.

Please provide me the format for Pb. and Haryana High Court.

Under which article of the constitution it has to be filed.

Shiv, Thapar University is a Autonomous Body which can make their own laws differing from other Autonomous Body unless the same is not justifiable in the nature.

The Supreme Court has changed the whole concept. They brought in privatisation of education and allowed colleges to charge any amount of capitation fees. To the best of my knowledge i believe that you would not able file a PIL for this matter.

You may seek for the scholarship programme or contact university; if they can waiver the respective fee for you.
