Dear Experts,
There is a lot of talk on the proposed implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). I had a couple of queries. Can somebody please outline the points with respect to divorce & property sharing if & when the UCC becomes a law.

There are several advantages of Unified civil code in India. 1. All Indians Should be Treated Same, 2.It Promotes Real Secularism,3.It will Give More Rights to the Women,4.Every Modern Nation Has it,5.Personal Laws Are a Loop Hole,6. It Will Help in Reducing Vote Bank Politics,7. It Will Integrate India.

With respect to #3, what are the rights women will enjoy vis-a-vis divorce? Will this involve division of property (movable & immovable)? |
