Trust law in india

The Indian Trusts Act 1882 regulates setting up of Trusts in India.

My query is whether there can be a single settlor - single beneficiary trust? {settlor and beneficiary being the same person}?

Can some single person settle a trust and himself give property to such trust only for his own benefit?

I have gathered from discussions that such trust is not legal. I ll be very grateful  for the comments of respected members on this issue.

Thanks

settlor and beneficiary are two different things. you cannot be settlor and at the same time be beneficiary.
