To enhance rent at present rate.

My grandfather had let out a 200 sqft. room to a tenant since 1980 and he is paying the rent Rs. 525/- per month regularly. Can I demand him to enhance the rent as per present market valuation of the room?

Dear querist,

1. Talk to your HR head of any person higher in ladder, try to find out why your dues are pending. If dues are pending due to arbitrary reason then straight away send them legal notice.

2. When time limit for resolution under legal notice is over then complain to labor commissioner, if there also you could not find solution then your case will be transferred by labor commissioner to labor court.

3.You need to file recovery applicationunder Industrial dispute act 1947 section 33.
