Title deed still with bank

House is in name of grandfather who died interstate. His son died as well. He had 3 grandchildren and 2 other sons/daughters. The loan was repaid by his son years ago but family never went back to get title from the bank. Now the grandchild went to bank to get title and bank needs a legal proof that there are no other legal hiers. What legal document should be given?

u can ideally write up to the bank as to what kind of document

u can also make an affidavit stating that you're the grand children of so n so

presenting the banks the death certificate will suffice

Grandchildren have to produce legalheirship to prove thier authenticity. Even if they dont collect the title it wont be a problem but they have to get the no due certificate pertaining to that property .Once that is collected they can even apply for certified copy  of certified deed and go for sale .

Obtain legal heirship certificate of the deceased mortgagor and submit a joint letter by all the legal heirs authorising one person to collect the title documments from the bank, on their behalf.
