The change of father`s name

Dear all

My friend has two kids from her first marriage but that marriage failed and now she is again happily married again , now she , wants her second husband `s name asthe fathers name on her kids`s record even her kids also wants the same .

so pl let me know if its possible and ifyes then what is the process.
