Sepration is not ground but Desertion is ground of divorce u/s Section 13 of The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955   (ib) has deserted the petitioner for a continuous period of not less than two years immediately preceding the presentation of the petition

Yes it is desertion and a valid ground for divorce , without any reason desertion is also a cruelty upon a spouse and also an another ground for divorce

Yes it's desertion ground for divorce. If your wife want divorce then it's a golden opportunity, go MCD instead of wasting money and time in court.
