Hi, Do we need to pay stamp duty on share certifcates for bonus shares? Some views are: Stamp duty has to be paid irrespective of it is bonus shares. Others said: Bonus shares are issued free of cost, hence no stamp duty is to be paid. Kindly clarify. Thanks...
