INDIAN CITIZEN (Research Scholar)     27 April 2012

Spoiled the correct sequence of author in research article

Dear All

In 2010 my research article was published in Industrial Psychiatry Journal. My wife was first author, I was second author and the guide of my wife was third Author, as he had given the least contribution. I and my wife had done most work.

Recently one author published his article in 2011, and quoted our research work supporting his research findings. I studied his article and shocked to know that he had changed the order/sequence of authors. Means the guide who was third and last author was made first author in his article. My wife was made second and I was put as last author.

We were not given the credit of our work.

The sequence of authors was presented in wrong manner, while no where it was mentioned such sequence of authors. Whether it was done deliberately or under what intention, I don’t know?

I have sent one e-mail to that author. I am attaching herein the copy of that mail for your detailed information.

Kindly give your legal view in the purview of Intellectual property right act.

Thanks and regards
